今年高考新课标I卷英语语法填空有这么一个题：
Though it is the only unnatural thing on your way up the mountain, still it highlights the whole adventure __________ offers a place where you can sit down to rest your aching legs.
题目里的it代指前文出现过的"the endless series of steps"(文章讲的爬黄山，这里在描述黄山石阶)
这个空填and，用来并列highlights和offers两个谓语动词应该没什么问题
那么：
问题1. 能不能填which/that，把它理解成一个代词it(still it highlights中的it)的定语从句？读起来是很别扭，泥潭见过世面的高手多，不知道native speaker会不会有类似的表达方式？
问题2. 如果先行词不能用代词it的话，我把主语还原成the series of steps，这样来说：Though it is the only unnatural thing on your way up the mountain, still the series of steps, which offers a place where you can sit down to rest your aching legs, highlights the whole adventure. 表达对不对呢？
