7月24日晚，广汽传祺正式发布了旗下全新一代传祺GS8 车型。新车基于广汽GPMA平台打造，设计和配置都将会进行升级，同时还将搭载钜浪动力混动系统，该系统将由广汽2.0TM发动机以及丰田THS混动系统组成。
动力方面，新车首次使用混动系统，搭载由传祺2.0T发动机和丰田THS混动系统组成的钜浪动力混动系统，其中2.0T发动机的最大功率为140千瓦，峰值扭矩为320牛·米，最高热效率可达40.23%。在这套混动系统的加持下，四驱车型的0-100公里/小时加速时间为6.9秒，而工信部综合工况百公里油耗将低至5.5升。除了混动车型外，新车预计还将会推出搭载传统燃油发动机的车型。
