David Moyes is considering moves for Phil Jones and Jesse Lingard, if West Ham United stay in the Premier League.
The Scottish manager has gone a long way to securing the club’s status thanks to the recent 3-2 victory over Chelsea and the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
The expectation is that he would this time be allowed build on survival, unlike in 2018 when he was replaced by Manuel Pellegrini, and that has led Moyes to look to one of his former clubs.
Moyes worked with Jones and Lingard at Manchester United in 2013-14, and particularly sees the centre-half as an option that could lift his team’s quality.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is meanwhile hoping for a clear-out this summer, with both Jones and Lingard expected to go.
