作为马自达与丰田电气化合作计划的一部分，新一代马自达2日前正式发布。该车基于丰田YARiS(国内曾被称为雅力士)混动版打造，并将与丰田YARiS共线生产，随后该车将于2022年4月在欧洲上市。作为参考，现款马自达2在英国市场起售价为16475英镑，约合人民币14万元起。
新一代马自达2搭载与丰田YARiS同款1.5升三缸汽油发动机与电动机组成的油电混动系统。其中，这台三缸发动机最大功率93马力，电动机功率59千瓦，混动系统总功率116马力。该车0-100公里/小时加速时间9.7秒，最高车速为175公里/小时。马自达表示，本次发布的新一代马自达2将与现款马自达2共同在欧洲市场销售。
