警方在1月25日接到报案，赶往位于当地Garden City Road附近的一处4个单位的民宅，结果发现4人在其中一个单位内遭到枪杀，预计死亡时间已有1天。
儿子是浙江大学后来到bcit的学生，学计算机，女儿刚进ubc不久，父母先移民，然后让儿女一起过来，父母信基督教，认为大陆不公，儿子来加拿大后经常发朋友圈说生活郁闷，后悔来加拿大。

Homicide investigators have confirmed a shooting that left four family members in Richmond, B.C. dead appears to be a murder-suicide.
On Thursday, two men and two women from the same family were confirmed as the people found in the Garden City Road duplex near Alderbridge Way. The bodies were discovered Tuesday evening though they were believed to have died the night before.
Police believe the son killed his parents and sister, but say they are awaiting official confirmation of this “pending ballistics and autopsy.”
On Friday, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) shared the four were a 71-year-old father, 58-year-old mother, and two adult children aged 23 and 21.
