我记得college和university 应该不一样，前者似乎是大专之类的学校。不过不太确定[/quote][img]http://img.nga.178.com/attachments/mon_201209/14/-47218_5052bc4cc6331.png[/img]美国college和university，这个概念比较模糊和混乱，college有社区大学(有点类似于大专，但又不是一个东西)可以叫community college，也有文理学院(正经的4年大学，特点是贵，私立，精英教育)也可以叫college。相对来说，共同点就是学校比较小，专业没有university大而全。也有老子就是喜欢叫college，你管的着吗的类型。比如常春藤名校达特茅斯学院，英文就叫Dartmouth College。

独立的college比university层级低，可以理解为类似大专的东西
university下属的college可以理解成是某院，某系之类的

college有普通的college和community college
college有常青藤水平的，但是college的规模都很小，大u几千上万人，college顶多一两千人，几百人都算常见，所以那种很笼统的排名人少的肯定打不过人多的
cc差不多算是大专吧，大致能提供college和大u前一两年的课程和一些职业的培训课程
不过不好的公立university我觉得跟cc比起来好不到哪去[s:ac:哭笑]
