The 8,200-ton, 170-meter--long destroyers are equipped with the Aegis Baseline J7 combat system and the Northrop Grumman AN/SPQ-9B radar system, which provides the capability to detect and track low-flying, high-speed, low-observable anti-ship missile targets in heavy-clutter environments. Aegis Baseline J7 is the Japanese equivalent for the current Aegis Baseline 9/BMD 5.1 standard.
摩耶是Aegis Baseline J7，相当于基线9和BMD5.1，是非常现代的系统了。是PESA还是AESA并不影响，而且AESA和PESA只是技术途径，只有在同一国家之间比才能明确的讲AESA比PESA强，比如SPY-6V1比SPY-1Dv强，Aegis的硬件和软件都要优于没有任何测试的055，而且更多的配备Aegis系统的船意味着通用型更好，体系融合的更加完美，现在JMSDF的所有正牌盾舰都有NIFC-CA & CEC的能力，这是PLAN所没有的。

JMSDF属于防务盟友的体系，意味着可以依靠美国的ISR asset，自己虽然对ISR有投入而且sensors通常集中在亚太地区，作为全球化防务secondary 分支branch来讲是非常优秀的了，而PLA并没有全球化体系也没有盟友，更不可能共享情报和ISR能力。

The Maya-class is also armed with SM-3 Block IIA and SM-6 interceptors to destroy ballistic missile targets. Its anti-ship missile capability is further enhanced by the RIM-66 SM-2 surface-to-air missiles and the RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles (ESSM).
055这种有船没蛋的就不要拿出来讲了，SM-3/6 ESSM，哪个PLAN也没有；BMD能力也是055没有的，摩耶的缺陷就是DDG-51 FTIIA这个平台有点太老了，即使经过日本人的改造，但是别的地方倒不影响。

055终究是现代驱逐舰之中的大和，造个大点的052D而已，算是完全版；对未来没有任何前瞻性，没办法支持空海一体战的基本要求和CEC，更没办法支持无人sensors，而且还被困在了澡盆里；基本上就是给LRASM/JSOW 送菜的；更何况就是动力系统QC-280对比LM-2500就是垃圾，Hull和其他子系统完全都是没有经过任何验证过的。
PLAN无论是在体系和单舰方面都落后于JMSDF，而JMSDF/JASDF未来在战斗机和sensor等无人系统进行迭代碾压的时候，PLAN就会落入绝对劣势。而现在F-35B已经下单，かが也已经进坞改造，日本海军正在在技术先进性和前瞻性保持自己亚洲第一海军的title，并且可以继续下去。
